About Symptoms of Pregnancy

What common symptoms do women experience when they are pregnant?

A missed period
When you become pregnant, most women will not have their next monthly menstrual period. Some women do bleed a little while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.

Swollen/tender breasts

Nausea
Often referred to as morning sickness, some women experience a persistent queasy feeling in their stomach when they are pregnant. A pregnant woman can experience this nausea at any time during the day, not just in the morning.

Fatigue/tiredness

Frequent urination

Other explanations: Keep in mind that women can experience these symptoms for reasons other than pregnancy such as stress, a hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, illness or excessive dieting.

The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to schedule a pregnancy test. Call the center nearest you or our toll-free Helpline at 1-877-908-2341 to schedule a free pregnancy test.
